Text message alerts

If your portal's organization has texting enabled, you can receive property alerts by SMS. Texts arrive when the team sends a property announcement by SMS — a short text with the address, key numbers, and a link — or an occasional custom update they send out. (Texts aren't sent automatically every time a listing is published; the team chooses when to send one.)

Opting in

Texts are strictly opt-in — you will never receive one unless you've said yes. You can opt in these ways:

• tick "Text me new property alerts" when creating your account,
• turn the same option on from your profile page,
• use the Enable SMS alerts banner shown in the portal if you haven't decided yet, or
• text START to the organization's texting number (this also resubscribes you after a STOP).

Make sure your mobile number is filled in on your profile — without one, alerts can't reach you even when opted in.

The in-portal banner is dismissible — and once you dismiss it, it won't come back. If you change your mind later, opt in from your profile page instead.

Opting out

Any of these stops texts immediately:

• reply STOP to any message (you'll get a confirmation; reply START later to resubscribe),
• turn the toggle off on your profile page.

Reply HELP to any message for info. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
